Web works in mysterious ways

Posted on Jul 19 2009

Today in my e-mail I find a message from the WordPress engine (the free software that runs this blog). It says I have a comment to approve. I’m shocked. Not because I have a comment, but because, well I have a comment already.

You see I’ve been building this blog site in secret and had kept it hidden for the past few weeks. Or so I thought. I mean it’s always been out there in cyberspace, but not really “out there” being actively promoted. Frankly I was waiting until I had more stuff in it before the official launch, so to speak.

But then I realized: “What am I waiting for?” What I mean to say is I am very excited about the blog becoming a two-way conversation. In my e-mail based newsletter, I’ve been pushing my thoughts for a dozen years. Sure I get a few e-mails, but it’s a one-way conversation, a lecture for the most part.

I felt it was time for all of you who support me to contribute. Collectively, we have a lot of information to share. And we SHOULD share it. Together.

So, while I shall continue to write. I ENCOURAGE YOU TO COMMENT and start and sustain some conversations right here, right now.

I guess, despite my efforts, today is the official launch day. Hooray!!

Welcome all of you!

Hi Jeffrey, tahnks for all the work you do to keep us all informed about how to approach this music “business”. I still have a ways to go but it is nice to know that I can see you off in the distance and that you clear a path for us to follow. Regards, Joe B.
