Here’s a tip from the archives that with a slight revision remains relevant today.
Besides getting more clients (always a good idea!), you can put more money in your pocket with your existing clients, too. You need to get your supporters to spend a little more when they do buy and/or convince them to buy a little more often. For example, let’s say you can sell 100 people a $10 item twice a year. That’s a gross of $2000.
Now work to increase all of those numbers by only 10% — 110 customers, buying an $11 item about 2.2 times. You get a 33% increase in dollars ($2662).
Can you do what’s necessary to secure 10% more clients, raise your product/service prices a lousy 10%, and earn slightly more repeat business?
