Get creative
Hey sometimes you find yourself unprepared on a shoot. Don’t lose hope. Get creative. A cheap rain slicker for the camera (and its operator) and a stylish scarf for the mic. Granted it’s not a $400 blimp system, but it kept the mic dry, reduced wind noise, and saved the day. What more could you ask for, eh?
Thanks to my student Holly B. for the idea and the picture!

Ha. It was my student’s idea — wish I could take the credit!

This goes to show that you’re creativity isn’t limited to music. “Scarf windscreens” – hum, there could be a market for this…
(At first I thought it was a dog in a rain suit)
